Dominican Republic v Canada

Very interested in seeing how tonight's game plays out. Canada's bigs need to get it done on the glass if we expect to win in a very hostile environment. Go Canada!

Probably best just to read the following as it gives a little info about each player on the team (where they currently play etc.).

This will be a great test on the road tonight. Huge statement if our depth is better than a country currently ranked ahead of us. Not a must win but every game is big with this format.

Dominican Republic 44 Canada 30 Halftime

Not a good half for the Canadians.
Canada seemed to be in good shape after the 1st quarter, trailing only 19-16 after falling behind early 15-5.
But the second quarter saw the Dominicans pull ahead by double digits again and Canada is strugling to close the gap.

Dominican Republic 88 Canada 76 Final

Canada outscored the Dominicans 46-44 in the second half but could not over come a poor 25-14 second quarter the saw Canada trail by 14 at the half.

No crispness to Canada's passing game resulting in too many turnovers. Point guard play was shaky when it counted. I'm sure it will get better now that these young guys have a meaningful tough game under their belts. I wonder why Kaza Keane wasn't inserted when things weren't going well to give the game a different look. I missed not seeing some Canadian toughness and grit out there. Our guys certainly are capable of playing much better. I guess we'll have to wait until February for that edition. I wonder if Anthony Bennett will ever get his mojo back?
