RJ has reclassified to 2018 and has narrowed his choice of school to a Final Five. He will visit each one during the month of September. This past weekend he visited Kentucky who have a few other 5 star players entering and a coach with a reputation to get guys ready for the NBA after one year. On the Sept 9 weekend he visits Duke another school with 5 star players and a legendary coach. One of the 5 star players is a SG so RJ may want to go elsewhere b/c of that potential conflict. Arizona is up on the 16th. They have the best recruiting class right now and RJ would make it even better. Oregon on the 23 and it's Canadian connection over the last few years is paying off or maybe it is Kigab that is the drawing card. Finally Michigan on the 30th where RJ would be far and away the best player on the team. It could be akin to leading Team Canada to the U19 World Cup championship. Or it could be that years ago when Coach John Beilein was at Canisius and recruiting RJ's father, Rowan Barrett Sr. Even though he worked harder than anyone else he couldn't compete with the draw of playing in the Big East for St. John's. Maybe Rowan Sr is paying Beilein back for the interest he showed 25 years ago? Whichever way it turns out it is a good plan to get the recruiting circus out of the way early. Anyone want to hazard a guess on where RJ will attend in September 2018?
